Aloe Vera is a hardy perennial tropical plant that can be cultivated in drought areas as well. This species is famous due to its medicinal properties. Aloe used in indigenous and Unani systems of medicine; in cosmetics. Aloe plant demands light and can grow in nutritionally weak soil also. It is stemless or short stemmed. Aloe leaves are thick, fleshy, greyish green which can grow 50 – 75 cm long. Leaf surfaces are marked with white colored spots. Completely developed plant is 60-100 cm high and matured leaves are 7-10 cm width.
